Description
Metamorph was made over a long time, during a period of experimentation and self reflection.
Just as butterflies use all their strength to emerge from the pupa that held them as they changed from a caterpillar, so this woman is stepping into her new life, ready to spread her wings.
Note
This painting started life as an experiment painted over various other paintings in a variety of media. The ‘fat over lean’ rule has been completely ignored and I can’t guarantee the usual longevity (over 100 years) of oil paintings.
Shipping Information
Shipping costs vary greatly depending on where you are and how you would like the work to be sent to you, for example, flat or rolled. Once I know your location and the dimensions and weight of the piece you have purchased, I can put together a more specific quotation.
This painting can only be shipped flat, it should not be removed from the stretcher bars or rolled.
