Whether you are just starting out or have been painting for years, you are welcome to book some tutored studio time with me.
All students are taught in very small classes (Max. 3 people) with individual attention. Tuition is tailored to your own goals and projects.
I offer the following pathways:
Beginner Basics
For beginners or those wanting a refresher, learn the fundamental skills that will provide a strong foundation for all your future projects. Value studies, mark making, measuring techniques and the wonderful world of colour.
All materials included. You will be given advice on which brushes to buy.
TIME TIP: All basics can be covered in a four week block.
Classical Method
This pathway is for anyone wanting to learn the indirect classical painting method. You will learn how to take a painting from cartoon through imprimatura, to underpainting and the work up to the final glaze layers.
Basic materials included, for initial projects. Please bring your own brushes, hogs-hair (or equivalent) and soft.
TIME TIP: The process can be covered in a ten week block.
Self Guided
If you prefer to pursue your own projects then I can provide a supportive environment with tuition tailored to meet your needs.
Basic materials included: earth tone paints, medium, small canvases. You will provide your own canvases and paints for larger pieces. Bring your own brushes.
TIME TIP: Fully flexible. Choose from the options below to suit your schedule.
How to Book
Whichever pathway you choose, you can book:
- a single 2.5 hr class,
- a blocks of four classes
- a block of ten classes.
- All classes take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 18:00 – 20:30.
